Gladbrook Trophy Case & Photo Gallery Project

As Mayor Sash related to in his most recent post, the old Gladbrook trophies have been moved and located into new cases upstairs in the City Center. They were all cleaned and repaired to the best of the committee’s ability. In doing so, it was decided to take all of the individual photos of state participants and create a large digital picture frame to display these photos that have begun to fade and fall apart. As we worked on this, we know there are many of you out there who also should be included in this digital display but for whatever reason, your photo(s) were not in the old cases. We would like to fix that with your help in our ongoing project display. If you, a family member, friend, neighbor, etc. meet the following criteria, we would ask that you find an old photo of you in uniform or even a school photo that we can scan to use in the display. We would also need the year, event and sport qualified in, year in school of participant, contact info for questions, etc. All of this can be left in the Gladbrook City Clerk’s office. All photos will be returned if you leave return to information. Please don’t be shy & let us know. We see several district track trophies but have no idea who may have participated on those relay teams. With everyone’s help, we can make this display even better. Wall of Pride Project Gathering of photos is currently being done to bring our selection of honorees up to date. If you know of someone that meets the qualifications, please get a photo and detailed information to the City Clerk’s office. You may also leave names there as well so a contact to those individuals can be made. Your patience is appreciated. Criteria for selection includes: • Selection to a State Tournament All-Tournament Team • Placing as an Individual or Relay Team for a sanctioned Boys or Girls State Tournament Event • Qualifying for a Boys or Girls State Tournament as an Individual or a Relay Team
