Before Judge Christopher L. Burns in Tama County District Court in Toledo: Samantar Abdirizak, 28, Toledo. previously entered a plea of guilty to a charge of assault causing bodily injury or mental illness and received a deferred judgment. He was placed on unsupervised probation and assessed a civil penalty and court costs totaling $495. Abdirizak was charged on July 8 for assaulting another person resulting in facial injuries by Toledo Police Officer Lucas Hauser. Christian Thomas Arp, 25, Toledo, admitted violation of terms of probation and also appeared for sentencing on a previous plea of guilty to manufacture, deliver or possess with Intent to manufacture or deliver Psilocybin. On the probation violation charge it was ordered probation will continue until Aug. 25, 2021, and Arp was ordered to reside at the Gary Hinzman Center for up to 365 days. For the drug charge, he received a deferred judgment and was placed on probation for five years. A $1,000 civil fine was suspended. Arp had orignally received a deferred judgment on a charge of 3rd degree burglary filed in February, 2015, by Tama County Deputy Sheriff Wes Sebetka. He orignally faced five counts on the drug charge filed on April 7 by Toledo Police Sgt. Daniel Quigley. A search warrant executed by police resulted in finding items allegedly related to manufacture of Psilocybin. Travis Michael Mask, 31, Traer, pleaded guilty to domestic abuse assault. He was sentenced to 26 days in jail with credit for time served and the balance was suspended. He was also fined and assessed court costs totaling $728. Mask was placed on self-supervised probation and was directed to successfully complete the Iowa Domestic Abuse Program. He was originally charged on June 15 with 2nd offense domestic abuse assault with injury by the Tama County Sheriff’s Office. Alexander Luis Oaxoca, 28, Tama, pleaded guilty to 1st offense drunken driving. He was sentenced to 90 days in jail with all but 88 days suspended, credited for any time already served, fined and assessed court costs totaling $1,798. He also was directed to attend Drinking Driver’s School and pay victim restitution and placed on unsupervised probation. The sum of $625 of the fine amount may be waived if proof of an ignition interlock device is installed is provided to the court. Oaxoca was charged on May 15 at U.S. Highway 63 and Myrtle Street by Toledo Police Sgt. Daniel Quigley. Tyrone David Walker, 41, Belle Plaine, pleaded guilty to 1st offense drunken driving. He received a deferred judgment, was assessed a civil penalty and court costs totaling $1,400 and directed to complete Drinking Drivers School. He was placed on self-supervised probation. The sum of $625 of the fine amount may be waived if proof of an ignition interlock device is installed is provided to the court. Walker was charged on July 11 by Tama County Deputy Sheriff Sean Gehring.


Before Judge Mary E, Chiccelly in Tama county District Court in Toledo: Carrie Rachelle Ohare, 31, Cedar Rapids, pleaded guilty ot 1st offense possession of methamphetamine. She was sentenced to 37 days in jail with credit for 37 days already served and assessed a fine and court costs totaling $1,436. Ohare was originally charged on Sept. 3, 2015, when in a vehicle in which methamphetamine was found by Tama County Deputy Sheriff Brian Randall.
