Corn Carnival Frequently Asked Questions (FAQ’s) — Week 3
With the 2016 Gladbrook Corn Carnival only a few weeks away, we have decided to start a weekly feature answering many frequently asked questions that are sent our way. We thought this might be a fun way to get readers “in the loop.” Remember that the dates this year are June 23rd-26th. We are going to continue week 3 FAQ with one of our fun questions. You asked: “How do I get involved and/or volunteer?” and a second question that goes right along with that, “Who do I contact if I have new ideas?” We answered: The Corn Carnival board and Event Chairpersons would LOVE, LOVE to have more volunteers and people involved to carry out events. Lots of time & preparation go into each event behind the scenes. Corn Carnival doesn’t “just happen” as you will learn in future articles – so keep on reading each week. You can contact any of the current board members to volunteer for events. We would be happy to have you join us as we really do have a lot of fun. Contact Terri Luehring, Mike Bearden, Pat Clausen, Beth Miller, Samantha DeWitt, Denise Kemp, JoAnn Ruopp, Jeanne Paustian, Keith Sash, Dennis Barnes, Trudi Scott, Rose Russell, Cathy Gethmann, or Chuck Bearden. We LOVE, LOVE new ideas. We usually have to plan these a year out to incorporate them into the event schedule but would love to hear your plan. If you have a new idea, we would also hope that you would jump on board and chair a new event, help implement a new plan, and maybe even help us figure out how to finance that plan. You can again share these with any of our board members listed above. Until next week and our next FAQ, have a great week!
