GMG Anatomy Students helped sponsor the 18th annual blood drive. There were 192 pints of blood collected. 23 double red units were collected and 57 persons were first time donors. The Blood Center of Iowa is in charge of the event. Mr. Mark Samek, GMG science instructor, chaired the drive and noted, ” The GMG Blood Drive is the largest Class A school-sponsored blood drive in Iowa. The anatomy students put forth a tremendous amount of time and energy to make the drive successful. ….. We are so grateful for all those who took time to donate.” Anatomy students who worked on the event included: Jacob Burt, McKayla Conaway, Chandler Kendall, Blayne Koster, Laura Landt, Madison Larson, Matthew Lolwing, Emily McDowell, Austin Rico, Natalie Smith, Sydney Sorem and Mattison Vaske.
