Gladbrook City Council
By Madeline Mussig The Gladbrook City Council held their regular monthly meeting on January 11, 2016. At 5:30 P.M. the meeting was called to order, followed by a sheriffs report stating there were 141.5 hours of service. There was no old business. In new business under the Grand St. Bridge, French-Reneker claim Res. 16-27 was approved totaling $7,326.06. Land acquisitions Res. 16-29 was also approved, and a review of the status of the project was discussed. In the lagoon improvement project, French-Reneker claim Res. 16-28 was approved totaling $1,400. Clapsaddle-Garber I&I engineering agreement and claim were discussed. There were numerous appointments to the finance, street, fitness, park, sewer, Crayon Corner, and building permit committees. Claims were approved to pay Gladbrook Auto $88.89, Gladbrook Tire $676.80, Goos Implement $8.80, and MLS Transfer $285. Dave Smith’s fireman application was approved. The public hearing regarding proposed drawings, specifications, form of contract, and estimated cost of the Gladbrook Wastewater Treatment Facility has been postponed to February 8 at 7:00 P.M. The council’s next meeting will be held on February 8.
