By: Margaret Thomsen GMG High School Principal Mark Polich said, “Jim is a good dedicated worker and we surely will miss him.” Jim is a history major graduate of UNI and was affiliated with the Navy for 27 years. He served our country on a ship from 1969 to 1971 during the Viet Nam War. He also worked at Lennox in Marshalltown until 2008. Jim and his wife, Kathy, have been married for 29 years and are the parents of four children. Nick Helton works for Illinois State at Normal, IL. Jon and Jen Wagaman live in Cedar Rapids and Jon works for Limo Link. Erin Wagaman lives in Cedar Rapids and works in the business and financial offices for ONION temp agency. Brian and Amy Wagaman live in Frelandville, IN where he teaches Industrial Technology. They have two little girls. Jim says he is not sure what he will do in retirement, but he knows he will enjoy having time to be with Kathy and the children.
