Tama County Supervisors, Larry Vest, Dan Anderson and Kendall Jordan, at the regular meeting Monday morning appointed Stein Metz from Traer, to the Tama County Veterans Affairs Board, to fill a vacancy. Lyle Brehm County Engineer, reported water had been over Tama County roads in several places. Most of this has now receded. Brehm said there was damage at the Long Point bridge and this would need to be taken care of. Brehm also reported the road department has a fuel contract for the coming year with New Century Farm Service. This will be the regular wholesale price plus $0.1393 for U87 fuel, $0.1393 for Number two Diesel and $0.1493 for Number one diesel. This will take effect January 1, 2016. In other business a resolution was passed approving the transfer of funds and authorizing the county treasure to do so. $2500.00 will be transferred from the General Basic Fund to the Debt Service Fund. This is for bond fees that were not budgeted for. Claims approved for the past week came to $112,277.40
