By Margaret Thomsen The Garwin Lions Club met at the Garwin Christian Church on December 10. Following a bountiful turkey meal served by the Christian Church Ladies, the group heard Lioness Judy Stone. Lioness Stone lives near Marshalltown and is the Lion’s 2nd Vice District Governor. Lioness Stone presented a 10 year service award to Lion Ron Groth. She also visited about club membership, the Iowa Lion’s Foundation and Lion activities. During the business meeting the Club voted to donate $250 to the Lion’s Vocational/Technical Scholarship for a GMG Senior and to donate $50 to the Tama County Food Bank. Projects for the 2015-16 year were discussed and it was decided that the annual BBQ supper will be held in April.
