In Tama County District Court in Toledo, before Judge Christopher L. Bruns:
Pudoli Mendoza Gonzalez, 26, Marshalltown pleaded guilty to no driver’s license in a plea agreement. He was fined and assessed court costs totaling $472. Gonzalez was charged on June 23 at the junction of U.S. Highway 30 and Iowa Highway 21 with driving while barred and driving while license suspended by Iowa State Trooper Matt Schwenn. Donetta Jae Wanatee, 38, rural Tama, entered a written guilty plea to unlawful possession of a prescription drug. She received a deferred judgment, was placed on unsupervised probation and directed to pay a civil penalty and court costs of $436. Wanatee was charged on May 31 on West Village Road by Iowa State Trooper Jared Rude. Sondra Jne Ketchen, 48, rural Clutier, was found innocent in a jury trial of 1st offense drunken driving. She was charged on May 12 at Tama County Roads E44 and 200th Street by Tama County Deputy Sheriff Bryan Ellenbecker. Parnell J. Roberts, 42, rural Toledo, entered a written guilty to 2nd offense public intoxication. He was fined and assessed court costs totaling $585 and sentenced to 14 days in jail with credit for 14 days already served. Roberts was charged at Kwik Star, Business Highway 30 west on Nov. 18 by Toledo Police Officer Dan Quigley. Leandra Larae Haughey, 32, Cedar Rapids, entered a written guilty plea to violation of terms of probation. She was directed to reside at the Heart of Iowa Program until maximum benefits are achieved. She was assessed $944 in court costs and her probation was extended for one year. Court documents show Haughey was originally charged with possession of marijuana in April, 2014, by the Tama County Sheriff’s Office and sentenced in July, 2014. She was arrested ion Jan. 12, 2015, in Iowa Falls on a possession of controlled substance charge – 3rd or subsequent offense. This led to the probation officer’s complaint.
Before Judge Fae Hoover-Grinde:
Erin Lea Ackerman, 40, Marshalltown, entered a written guilty plea to 2nd offense public intoxication- simple misdemeanor. She was fined and assessed court costs totaling $525 and sentenced to two days in jail with credit for two days already served. Ackerman was charged on Nov. 13 with public intoxication – 3rd offense after being arrested going door-to-door in the 700 and 800 blocks of Grant Street in Tama according to court records. The charge was filed by Tama Police Officer Mark Bear.
