Tama Co. District Court Before Judge Christopher L. Bruns in Tama County District Court in Toledo:
Israel Lee Camacho, 21, Tama, was found in contempt of court. He was ordered to serve 30 days in the Tama County Jail and then was ordered to reside at a residential treatment facility for up to 365 days. His probation was extended for one year. Camacho originally was given a deferred sentence and placed con probation for five years after pleading guilty to a charge of lascivious acts with a child. A probation officer’s report alleged Camacho did not keep probation appointments and failed to report for a sex offender treatment group. Brian Jeffrey Miller, 29, Marshalltown, pleaded guilty to 5th degree theft. He was fined and assessed court costs totaling $373 and to pay restitution of $454 to the victim. In the same case, Ashley Debra Miller, 31, Conrad, also pleaded guilty to 5th degree theft. She has not been sentenced according to online court records on Nov. 9. Brian Miller was accused on July 26 of stealing a ticket voucher out of a Triple Double Red, White and Blue slot machine and passing it to Debra Miller. She allegedly cashed the ticket which was in the amount of $453.80 and returned the proceeds to Brian Miller. The charges were filed by Meskwaki Nation Tribal Police Officer Brian Northland. Jerry Terrell Demery, 29, Waterloo, pleaded guilty to possession of marijuana – 3rd of subsequent offense. He was fined $625 and the fine was suspended. Demery was also sentenced to a two year, prison term with all but 14 days suspended. He must serve the jail time concurrently with another sentence in the Black Hawk County Jail. He was also placed on supervised probation for one year. Demry was charged on Aug. 4 at Taylor Drive and Business Highway 30, Tama, by Iowa State Trooper Jared Rude

Before Magistrate Richard Vander Mey:
Robert Edward Fults, 26, Kellogg, Iowa, was found guilty following trial of violation of conditions of a restricted driver’s license. He was fined and assessed court costs totaling $126. The charge was filed by the Iowa State Patrol.
