By: Kathryn Wild It’s that time of the year again: Gladbrook-Reinbeck Homecoming. Homecoming is where everyone celebrates how great our football team is doing, letting everyone get in on the fun. This year’s theme is Rock the Redhawks because of this week’s rival, North Tama. The high school begins Homecoming Week by having a dress up day, each day, all week. Monday will be Millionaire Monday. Tuesday is Twin Tuesday. Wednesday gets Rock out Wednesday. Thursday has Character Day. And Friday is Spirit Day. We will announce Homecoming King and Queen at Homecoming Happenings on Thursday night. The Homecoming Court includes Leah Homan, Sydney Brown, Hayley Weber, Lauren Husmann, and Madeline Mussig for the queen candidates. The king candidates are Colton Dinsdale, Josh Cooley, Tyler Eiffler, Eric Stoakes, and Jake Shuman. Thursday is also when the junior and senior girls play each other in powderpuff football. The junior and senior boys will play each other in Iron Man volleyball during Rebel Wrap Up time at the high school on Friday. The big game will by Friday night, and Saturday is the last day of Homecoming, which includes the annual Homecoming dance. The dance will begin at 8 P.M.
