Students from Gladbrook-Reinbeck Middle School met with Senator Grassley on Wednesday, June 10, in Washington, D.C.

WASHINGTON – Students from Gladbrook-Reinbeck Middle School in Tama and Grundy Counties met with Sen. Chuck Grassley this week during a trip to Washington, D.C. The students were part of a school visit. “I really enjoy meeting with young Iowans and encouraging their interest in learning more about how our government works. Citizen involvement is essential to democracy in America, and young people are the key to the strength of our democracy in the future,” Grassley said. Grassley makes it a priority to sit down with Iowa students when they’re in Washington, D.C. Grassley also routinely visits high schools and colleges in Iowa to answer questions about issues from students and faculty.
