Poppy Posters 2015

The Gladbrook American Legion Auxiliary hosted the annual Poppy Poster contest for GR students in fourth through eighth grades. The posters are judged on poster appeal, artistic ability, and neatness. There are rules for design and content within the poster such as each poster shall have a fitting slogan not to exceed ten words; the words “buddy” and “buy” cannot be used; “American Legion Auxiliary” must be used in the design of the poster; each poster must carry a picture of the Flanders Poppy in the correct color; the United States Flag may be used as long as there are no infractions of the flag code. The Gladbrook students’ posters will be displayed in the windows of Gladbrook businesses while the Reinbeck students’ posters will be delivered to the Reinbeck Auxiliary for display. The Gladbrook Auxiliary appreciates the students participation and would like to thank the teachers and staff for their continued support of this project. On May 22, 2015, the local contest recognized the top posters in each grade (no entries from the seventh grade).
