Graduates were recognized during worship on May 10. Shelton Hatch, daughter of Ken and Shelleen Hatch, plans to attend Iowa State and major in Ag Studies with a minor in Ag Communications. Cole Goos is the son of Ben and Stephanie Goos and plans on studying Psychology and Counseling at Kirkwood. The memory of Noah Ohrt, son of Ed and Kathy Ohrt, was remembered with a minute of silence. Noah would have graduated from G-R with the class of 2015. His parents and the graduates were presented with a cross and a card. Each year the seniors of Peace Church are asked to submit an essay on “What the church means to me or what effect the church has had on them.” Shelton Hatch was selected as winner of the Peace Church Scholarship with her essay relating to Noah Ohrt.
