The annual Westbrook Acres Memorial Service was held on Tues., March 24th. The service is conducted by the Northwest Tama County Ministerial Association. The Service of Remembrance for 24 residents who passed away in 2014 was written by Rev. Robert Doner. Helping with the service besides Doner was Reb. Barb Muhs, Salem Church, who was the pianist, and Rev. Carol Kress, Gladbrook UMC. Pictured is Rev. Doner announcing the names of the deceased, Jeanne Paustian helping the family member light a candle, and Rev. Kress passing out pocket prayer shawls made by H.A.N.D.S. Rev. Muhs rang a bell as each name was called. A time of fellowship was hosted by Westbrook Acres coordinators Marilyn Peters and Michele Wegner.
