Tama County Supervisors, Larry Vest, Kendall Jordan and Dan Anderson, viewed the five year road plan presented by the Tama County Engineers office. Road work planned for 2015 include two bridges in York township, on Highway E44 at Elberon. The year 2016 shows bridge work to be done in Spring Creek township a little north and west of Gladbrook on 170th Street and C Avenue, a bridge on the Toledo-Howard township line north and west of Toledo, between I and J Avenues, the bridge in Salt Creek township, section 26, and paving a road in Sections 3, 4, and 5 in Columbia Township, (Columbia Stub road). 2017 work planned will be resurfacing Highway E49 from the Tama-Marshall County line to F Avenue in Indian Village Township, Grading of L Avenue from 310th Street south to Highway 30 in Toledo and Tama townships, thin surfacing Highway E36 from Clutier to Highway 21 in Oneida township, hard surfacing D65 in Geneseo Township from V Avenue east to Highway 21, and bridge work in Carroll township, Section 35 between 270th and 280th street and bridge work in Buckingham Township, Section 23. Year 2018 plans for paving L Avenue from Ross Street (Airport road), south to Highway 30. Bridge work is planned for M Avenue a little north of Highway 63 on the Perry-Crystal township line. 2019 shows paving C Avenue from Highway 30 north to 290th Street (Quarry road) and bridge work in Toledo township on 310th Street, just west of Highway 63. In other business the Tama County Sheriff’s report and the Tama County Auditor’s report were approved. The Sheriff’s report showed a balance on hand as of January 1, 2015 of $5271.75 with receipts of $79,616.05 and total disbursements of $82,834.73, leaving a balance on hand of $2053.07. he Auditors report shows total collections of $473.40. Claims for the past week approved for payment were $222, 171.36.
