On March 12 GMG Dorothy Heiberger Chapter of the National Honor Society inducted new members in the GMG lunch room. A formal ceremony followed by refreshments filled the evening’s hours. The present members, including Olivia Barritt, Alec Bovenmyer, Gabriella Gruen, Kenna Krier, Joshua Gruen, Austin Rico, Jacob Burt, Alex Cox, Jeff Hughes, Bryce Newcomb, Blayne Koster, and Anna Scheidel attended and supported the new members. Inducted into MHS were Amy Goettsch, Emily Goettsch, Shawna Hughes, Chelsea Hurd, Cole Langenbau, Josie Claassen, Chandler Kendall, Madison Larson, Blaire Sonderleiter and Conner Stonewall. State Representative Dean Fisher was guest speaker. He talked about three things that are key to living a successful life: Be honest, work hard, and get involved. He encouraged the students to take each of these points seriously and to get involved in the local and global communities. The evening’s festivities concluded with cake and punch served by all the members.
