Tama Co. Supervisors By: Joyce Wiese

Monday morning, March 9, the Tama County Board of Supervisors held a public budget hearing at 10:00 a.m. in the Board of Supervisors room. Two people were present for the hearing but no objections were made. The budget will be published in the county papers used by the Board of Supervisors. An Utility Permit was approved for Windstream to do work in Riichland Township east of the town of Chelsea on Highway E66. A new job description for the CPC director was discussed. It was decided that the County Auditor should discuss this with Tammy Wise from the CPC office. A resolution was passed to transfer funds from the Security Services fund to the Shield Mobile Fund in the amount of $10,625.00. This is in the Sheriff’s department. According to the Sheriff payment was made for items he normally covered with funds from the Meskwaki Settlement. However, he had not yet received these funds, requiring him to ask for the transfer. Claims approved for the past week came to $69,355.38.
