REINBECK – Gladbrook-Reinbeck Superintendent Shawn Holloway is a finalist for the Panorama Community School District superintendent’s post there. Holloway confirmed with the Times-Republican Tuesday that he is a finalist for the position at the school district, which is located in Panora, about 45 miles west of Des Moines. The timing of Holloway’s announcement comes as the G-R School Board debates whether or not to close any school buildings within the district in an effort to save money. The board is schedule to make a decision at its board meeting tonight in Gladbrook. Holloway said regardless of what decisions are made by the board tonight, he and his administrative team will work to implement the wishes of the board and that those should be accomplished before the school years ends on June 30. “I would sure hope that we would be able to carry out most of the plan by then,” he said. A decision as to whether or not Holloway is named the new superintendent at Panorama will not be made until sometime in March.
