Letter to the Editor-Robert Lemke

Dear Editor, Although the Affordable Care Act (a.k.a. Obamacare) is not perfect, it is certainly better that what we had before. Here are some of the advantages: (A) No longer can an insurance company dent you coverage because of pre-existing conditions. (B) No longer can an insurance company refuse to pay for a necessary procedure just because the company believes it is too expensive. (C) One of the goals of Obamacare is to eliminate the donut hole in the part D prescription coverage of Medicare. (D) Nine million people now have quality health care who didn’t have it before. This will save about 9,000 lives. If Republican governors in several states would expand Medicaid these numbers would be much greater. Don’t let Republicans do away with a program that saves lives. Vote November 4. Sincerely, Robert L. Lemke 605 Garfield St. Gladbrook, Iowa 50635
