Tama County District Court

Before Judge Ian K. Thornhill in Tama County District Court in Toledo: Dustin Lee Ritter, 26, Tama, pleaded guilty to willful injury causing bodily injury. He was sentenced to a suspended five-year prison term and was fined $750. Ritter was ordered to reside at a community corrections center for up to 365 days and was placed on probation for five years. He was charged on July 13 for allegedly participating in an assault in the 100 block of East 3rd street in downtown Tama. According t court records the victim was struck repeatedly with a pipe and was found bleeding heavily from the head and face when police arrived on the scene. The charge was filed by Michael E. German. Lynda Sue Miell, 44, Garwin, was sentenced on Oct. 16 to 90 days in jail with all but seven days suspended and fined $1,875 on a charge of 2nd offense drunken driving. Miell pleaded guilty on Sept, 8. She was placed on probation and directed to pay a $300 probation supervisory fee. Miel was charged in the 100 block of 1st Street in Garwin on May 26 by Tama County Deputy sheriff Trevor Killian. Tabor Lee Allen, 21, rural Dysart, pleaded guilty to driving while license revoked. He was fined $1,000 with $685 of the amount suspended. Allen was charged in Dysart on Sept. 12 by Dysart Police Officer Ben Parmater.
