Ronnie Landt

Ronnie Eugene Landt, a beloved family man, passed away on August 21, 2026, at the age of 76 in Neuburg, Germany.

Ronnie was born on May 24, 1950, in Munich, Germany, to Arthur and Ginette Briclot Landt. He grew up in a military family and, throughout his childhood, lived in Germany, Texas, New Mexico, Alaska, and Iowa.

Ronnie graduated from Frankfurt High School in Germany in 1968. In 1969, he began his military career with the U.S. Air Force. While serving in Germany, he met his future wife, Anneliese, and fell in love with both her and her two children. Over the course of his 24 years of military service, Ronnie was stationed at numerous bases in the United States and overseas, including a tour in Korea.

After retiring from the Air Force as a Senior Master Sergeant, Ronnie and Anneliese settled in Abilene, Texas. He continued his career by working for the Federal Aviation Administration for another 20 years.

In 2023, Ronnie and Anneliese relocated to Germany, where they lived until his passing following a period of declining health.

Ronnie was an avid sports enthusiast with a passion for football, baseball, NASCAR, Grand Prix racing, the World Rally Championship, and cycling’s Grand Tours.

Ronnie was a man of quiet strength, genuine warmth, and steadfast character. He was known for his quick wit, thoughtful nature, integrity, and loyalty, as well as for the deep devotion he showed to his family and friends. He offered those around him a dependable presence and a generous spirit, often bringing comfort, humor, and perspective when they were needed most. Ronnie’s life was marked by service, commitment, and the lasting bonds he formed with the people he loved. Those who knew him will remember not only what he accomplished, but also the kindness, steadiness, and sincerity with which he lived.

Ronnie was preceded in death by his wife, Anneliese; his parents, Arthur and Ginette Landt; and his brothers, Donald Landt and Roger Landt.

He is survived by his stepchildren, Frank and Rebecca of the Netherlands, and Elke and Thomas of Germany; his step-grandchildren; his sister, Annette Collins of Enid, Oklahoma; and many loving nieces, nephews, great-nieces, and great-nephews.

Ronnie will be laid to rest in Fürstenzell, Germany. A memorial gathering to honor and celebrate his life and legacy will be held in the United States at a later date.

Ronnie leaves behind a legacy of love, service, and quiet devotion. He will be deeply missed by his family and friends, who will carry his memory forward in the stories they share, the values he embodied, and the enduring influence of his life. He will be remembered with gratitude, respect, and affection by all who had the privilege of knowing him.
