Ginger Bouska
Ginger Bouska, 81, of Reinbeck, passed away on August 16 at Parkview Manor, surrounded by Hospice. A memorial visitation will be held on Saturday, August 29, 2026, from 9:30 a.m. until time of memorial service at 10:30 a.m. at Union Congregational United Church of Christ in Reinbeck. Inurnment will follow at Reinbeck Cemetery.
She was born on November 1, 1944, in Waterloo, Iowa, and was one of 3 children to parents James (Jazz) and Helen Juhl.
Ginger took office practice in high school and assisted with attendance and roll call. She went on to graduate from Reinbeck High in 1962 and after graduating from high school, Ginger was employed at REC in Grundy Center, before marrying Richard Bouska and becoming a full-time mother. She also volunteered part-time at the Reinbeck Elementary School, as well as summer Bible School at the UCC Church. Her and Richard were active members in the church as well.
Ginger loved to cook and she hosted many afternoons with her friends in Reinbeck, often offering them her famous chocolate chip cookies. She also loved to travel with her family every summer. Her and Richard were avid golfers and you could find them playing a few rounds at Oakleaf Country Club on weekends.
Ginger was predeceased by her parents James and Helen Juhl and her brother Jim Juhl. She is survived by her son Andrew Bouska, her sister Jane Juhl, her nephew Marty Bonneson, and her nieces Laurie Olivas, Lindsay Reid, Angie Juhl, Barb Brandt, and Janet Patraw.
Ginger brought light into this world as a wife, mother, sister, aunt, and friend. She will be missed deeply by all who know her.
