Linda S. Johnson, 74

Linda S. Johnson, 74, of Ames, Iowa, passed away on Wednesday, June 14, 2023, at Green Hill Healthcare in Ames. She was born on December 27, 1948, to Lyle and Lois (Seydel) Lorenz in Marshalltown, Iowa.

Graveside Services will be held on Tuesday, June 20, 2023, at 11:00 am at the Ames Municipal Cemetery. There will be no visitation.

Linda graduated from Reinbeck Community High School in 1967 and continued her education at Iowa State University. She graduated with a major in Ag Journalism and a minor in Animal Science. She worked at the Little Red Print Shop and the Iowa Turkey Federation before retiring from the Printing and Copy Department at ISU after almost 35 years. Linda was united in marriage to Larry Johnson in 1983 at Amity Presbyterian Church in Reinbeck, Iowa. She enjoyed knitting, gardening, cooking and spending time with her Rottweilers. She attended Heartland Baptist Church in Ames.

Linda is preceded in death by her husband, Larry; her parents and grandchildren, Jacob Myers and Kerri Myers.

She is survived by her two step-children, Vikki (Joel) Myers and Randy Johnson; three grandchildren: Sarah Myers, Kelli (Seth) Moore and Randy Neal Johnson Jr.; ten great grandchildren: Paden Myers, Clara Myers, Celia Myers, Haddi Myers, Claet Myers, Lexxi Moore, Joseph Moore, Daniel Moore, Noah Moore and Vincent Johnson; two sisters, Lisa (Mike) Thompson and Lori (Ron) Huebner; niece, Catie Thompson and cousin Brian (Fazia) Smith.
