Brenda Lage Olson, 50

Brenda Lage Olson, 50, of Gladbrook, IA, passed away Saturday, December 17, 2022, at Cedar Valley Hospice in Waterloo, IA. Memorial services will be held 11:00 a.m., Saturday, June 24, 2023, at Peace United Church of Christ in Gladbrook, IA. Anderson Funeral Homes in Gladbrook has been entrusted with the arrangements. Brenda was born on May 30, 1972, in Cedar Rapids to her parents Lyle and Marilyn (Meier) Olson. She was an only child. Brenda was raised in Cedar Rapids where she graduated from Washington High School in 1990. She went on to attend Iowa State University. She worked for Cinemark Theaters, being the General Manager at the opening of the Movies Twelve in Ames. She later worked at the Gladbrook Theater and the Gladbrook Post Office. Brenda enjoyed learning, camping, attending National Parks and photography.

Brenda is survived by her husband Brian Lage, children, Alex Whitney and Joe Lage, all of Gladbrook. Her mother, Marilyn Olson, of Cedar Rapids and many aunts, uncles and cousins, along with her cat Rick and dog Lucky.

She was preceded in death by her father, Lyle.
