Robert (Bob) Edward Harms

Robert (Bob) Edward Harms, of Delavan, Wisconsin, passed away peacefully on January 9th, 2023, with his loving wife, Cheryl, by his side. Bob was born in Waterloo, Iowa, on July 9, 1950, to Edward and Marjorie Harms. He graduated from East High School in Waterloo, Iowa, with the class of 1969. Upon graduation, Bob immediately entered the United States Navy where he proudly served 20 years prior to retiring in 1989. He went on to work in warehousing for another 35 years and retired from Brightstar in Libertyville, Illinois, in July of 2014.

After retiring from Brightstar, Bob and his wife relocated to Delavan, WI. Bob had a unique sense of humor and loved being outdoors. He enjoyed boating, hiking, listening to music, exploring and squirrel watching. Most of all, Bob enjoyed spending his time with family and friends relaxing by a bonfire, sharing laughs, stories, and making memories. Anyone who was blessed to know him would tell you his family was his world. He was never shy about letting everyone know just how proud he was through his many stories shared with anyone who would listen!

Bob’s passion was his family and he left behind a legacy. Bob is survived by his wife, Cheryl, and his daughters; Brandy (Joey) Morales, Kelly Steffens, Samantha (Mike) Pollard, Kassie (Jared) Kotter, Kristi (Kristopher) Sherman and Kourtney Aiello. He was also blessed with the title “Guy Papa” by 19 grandchildren and 1 great grandchild, all of whom he loved dearly. He also leaves behind two sisters, Connie (Roland) Dew and Barb Harms and a brother Scott Harms along with many nieces and nephews.

Bob is preceded in death by his parents.

A service and celebration of Bob’s life will be held for all family and friends on Saturday, January 28, 2023, from 12-4 p.m. at Rosewood (2484 County Rd O South, Delavan, WI 53115). Lunch will be provided for all family and friends to help us celebrate BobÕs life!

In lieu of flowers, the family would ask that you spend time with your loved ones making memories. Time is preciousÉlive every moment!
