Ruth Arlene Thompson, 92, of Thornton, CO, formerly of Gladbrook, IA, passed away in Broomfield, CO, on December 7, 2022, after a long battle with Alzheimer’s Disease. A graveside service will be Wednesday, January 4, 2023, at 11: 00 a.m. at Maple Hill Cemetery in Gladbrook. Anderson Funeral Homes of Gladbrook, IA, has been entrusted with the arrangements. Ruth ran a lodge in Estes Park for several years, worked as an auditor in the family business along with being a homemaker. She had a home in Estes Park for many years and that is where her heart was truly happy.

Ruth is survived by her son Clark Thompson (Judy), Grandchildren: Tarryn Habenicht (James), Kathleen Sandoval (Cameron) and Rebecca Thompson. She is also survived by her 7 soon to be 8 great grandchildren: Faith, Gracelyn, Branson, Whitley, Hagen, Jace and Kyden.

She is proceeded in death by her beloved grandson Jake Thompson, her parents, sisters and brothers.

Ruth will be laid to rest in her birthplace of Gladbrook, IA in a family plot next to her mother.
