Richard (Dick) Dale Schultz

Richard (Dick) Dale Schultz, 72 , passed away unexpectedly at his Illinois home on May 10th, 2021. Dick is survived by his wife of 37 years, Barbara and his step-children, Wes and Brenda. From a previous marriage, Dick has two sons, Brett and Bryan and a daughter Cambi. Dick has several grandchildren.

Dick graduated from Gladbrook High School in 1966. Shortly thereafter, he served our country in the Army from December of 1966 to August of 1969. He was stationed in New Jersey for 6 weeks as a supply clerk and then served his remaining time in Korea and Viet Nam.

Dick enjoyed farming after returning from Viet Nam. He also enjoyed driving his semi truck as an independent contractor. Dick was an avid outdoorsman, especially enjoying hunting and cat fishing! Dick and Barbara made their homes in Iowa and Illinois, never straying far from the Mississippi River!

Those left to cherish his memory are his wife Barbara and two sisters, Marilynn Schultz and Terri Ann Landt (Rodney); nephew Rodney R. Landt and niece Elizabeth (Landt) Thorton (Kirk). Also surviving are his step-mother, two-step brothers, and two step-sisters, who will miss him dearly.

He was preceded in death by his parents Robert and Marie Schultz-Zink, as well as many Aunts and Uncles and grandparents.
