Reva E. Ladehoff

Reva E. Ladehoff, 90, of Conrad, Iowa, entered into eternal life, Friday, January 13th, 2012, at Oakview Nursing Home in Conrad, Iowa. A celebration of her life was held at 10:30 a.m., Monday, January 16, 2012 at Conrad United Methodist Church. Interment was at the Conrad Cemetery. Visitation was held from 2:00 to 5:00 p.m., Sunday, January 15th, 2012, at Johnston Funeral Home. Online condolences may be sent to the family at www.vogelfuneralhomes.com. Born Reva E. Boege on March 10, 1921, in Reinbeck, Iowa at the family farm home. She was the youngest of ten children born to Hans and Mary (Barfels) Boege. She graduated from Reinbeck High School Class of 1939. Reva was united in marriage to Vern Ladehoff at her parents home on March 17, 1946. The couple farmed in Gladbrook and Beaman until 1968 when they left the farm moving north of Conrad. In 1970 they purchased a home at 212 Church Street in Conrad where she lived until 2008. Reva took a very active role in the family farm, milking several cows, raising chickens, selling eggs and cream, as well as raising three boys. She was a member of the Beaman Methodist Church and later transferred to the Conrad Methodist Church. She was a member of the Blue Star Mothers and was President and Secretary/Treasurer for a number of years. She was a member of the Mid Circle Club, Conrad Senior Citizens, long time volunteer at the Iowa Veterans Home in Marshalltown, volunteer at Oakview Nursing Home in Conrad, and along with Vern, they delivered Meals on Wheels in Conrad. The two of them met with a group of eleven other couples, and Harvey, once a month for over 60 years known as “The Gang.” Reva was very devoted to her family and friends and always put family ahead of herself.

Left to cherish her memory are her children; Ronald Ladehoff, Dean (Debbie) Ladehoff, Larry Ladehoff, all of Conrad, 6 grandchildren; Tony (Jennifer) Ladehoff, Brian (Ashley) Ladehoff, Derek (Jennifer) Ladehoff, Devin (Rande) Ladehoff, Jillisa (Chad) Legg, Jessica (Brett) Meyer, 12 great-grandchildren, and her brother, Ray (Marlys) Boege of Reinbeck, as well as many nieces and nephews.

In death Reva rejoins her beloved Vern who died in April of 1999, her parents, Hans and Mary Boege, siblings; Lavera Ramundt, Elvin Boege, Verna Ladehoff, Wilma Claussen, Alta Sindt, Harvey Boege, Ralph Boege and Louisa Hansen.
