Obituary

Hudson Reid Folkerts, 15, beloved son, brother, grandson, nephew, cousin and friend passed away July 27th. Hudson was born on May 17, 1996 and a lifelong resident of the Tomball/Cypress area. Hudson attended Tomball High School and was going to be a sophomore this year. Hudson spent many days out at his ranch with his family where he enjoyed raising his horses, fishing, hunting and being outdoors. Hudson was an active member of the Tomball FFA where he raised a steer last year and he will be with us in spirit as we all finish raising his steer for this year. Hudson is preceded in death by his Great Grandparents, Loren and Ada Wilkinson, Adolph and Verina Folkerts, Logan and Frances Eckerman, Pete and Josephine Smith. Survived by Parents, Kirk and Mandy Folkerts, Siblings, Kolton, Landon and Presley, Grandparents, Don and Jane Folkerts and Maureen and Don Lacy, Aunts Karen Burns, Kelly Buckner, Serena Folkerts, Deena Smith, April Shinn, Patricia Smith, Uncles, Bruce Burns, Kip Folkerts, Bill Buckner, Mike Shinn and cousins Ashley Schutte, Peyton, Chandler and Pryce Burns, Lily and Maddy Folkerts, Payton and Kaleb Nixon and Travis Morrison and Hanna Shinn, God Parents, Jo Ann Witt and Judd Heidemann.

The family wishes to extend its heartfelt thanks to Hudson’s EMT’s, LifeFlight, and his nurses and doctors at Memorial Hermann Hospital.

A vigil service was held at 7:30 PM Monday August 1, 2011 at St. Ignatius Loyola Catholic Church, 7810 Cypresswood Drive Spring, Texas 77379. Mass was celebrated at 11:00 AM on Tuesday, August 2, 2011 at St. Ignatius Loyola Catholic Church. Interment followed in Klein Memorial Park FM 2920.
