Commercial Pesticide Continuing Instruction Courses set for Fall 2026

GRUNDY CENTER – Iowa State University Extension and Outreach Grundy County office will host a Commercial Pesticide Continuing Instruction Courses (CIC) for various pesticide applicators during the fall of 2026.

-Forest, Aquatic, and Right of Way Pest Control: Oct. 21

-Ornamental and Turf Pest Control: Nov. 4

-Non-Soil Fumigation: Nov. 17

-Ag Pest Control: Nov. 18 (CCA CEUs available)

-Pest Control Operators: Dec. 9

All courses will be held at the Grundy County Extension Office in Grundy Center, and will begin at 9 a.m. Preregistration is encouraged at least one (1) business day in advance; walk-ins will be accepted based on available seating. Program run times may vary based on topics presented, please allow for up to three hours to complete the program. In addition to the above course schedule, Aerial Application, Seed Treatment (CCA CEUs available), Certified Handlers, and Greenhouse Pest Control are also available by appointment by contacting the Grundy County Extension Office. The appointment deadline for 2026 course training year in Grundy County will be Dec. 18, 2026.

Each course will provide continuing instruction credit for commercial pesticide applicators certified in their respective categories. Topics to be covered will include personal protective equipment and safe handling; professionalism, storage of pesticides, including chemical security; and category-specific pests, pest management and pesticides.
