GLADBROOK – The American Legion of Iowa Foundation recently presented a $1,500 grant to Gladbrook American Legion Auxiliary President Jeanne Paustian, pictured left, for the Children & Youth Project “Kids Shopping Day.” The grant was presented at the Department of Iowa Legion & Auxiliary Convention in Des Moines on July 18 by Foundation President Steve Dixon, pictured right. Jeanne was able to share some history on the Kids Shopping Day project, while also thanking members of the Foundation for their generous support. The 14th annual Kids Shopping Day is set for Saturday, Dec. 12, at Peace Church in Gladbrook.
