Gladbrook Women’s Club holds May meeting

GLADBROOK – On Thursday, May 14, 2026, the Gladbrook Women’s Club held its monthly membership meeting at Peppercorn Pantry in Aplington.

The meeting was called to order by co-president Rhonda Hein. Sixteen members attended.

The Minutes from the March meeting were read and approved.

The Treasurer’s Report was read and approved.

Membership Report: One member’s birthday was celebrated

Historian’s Report – Hospice Cookies: Joyce, Luba and Debbie for June 2026.

Theater Report: Need volunteers for July and August.

Old Business

-Sr. Citizens’ lunch and presentation were enjoyed by all.

-Cedar Valley Hospice dinner for volunteers – seven GWC members attended.

New Business

-Membership Meeting at the Peppercorn Pantry, Aplington, May 14, with the installation of new officers.

-Corn Carnival Float - the driver and trailer are arranged.

*Karen L will donate money for a new GWC sign

*Riders will wear Corn Carnival T-shirts.

-Spring Outing

*Self-guided tours at Grout Museum.

*Luncheon at Highway 63 Diner.

-Tama County Fair Food Stand - 

*GWC will work one shift on Thursday.
