REINBECK – The Center, a 4,500-square-foot fitness facility built as a tribute to the Snow family’s deep roots in the community, will transition to new ownership effective May 1, 2026 – marking an exciting new chapter while preserving its founding legacy.
Founded by Reinbeck native Kim Snow, The Center was created in honor of her parents, Dean and Penny Snow, and her grandparents, Harold and Lucille Snow, all of whom dedicated their lives to the Reinbeck community. Designed from the ground up by Snow – including the layout, functionality, and equipment selection – the facility was envisioned as more than just a gym. It was built to be a lasting contribution to the town’s health, connection, and future.
“When I lost my mom and dad, all of a sudden life took on a new perspective for me,” said Snow. “I wanted to leave something behind that would continue serving this community, just as my parents and grandparents did. Health and fitness is what I specialize in as a career, and watching a loved one’s health decline – knowing that so many things can be improved or even prevented through health, fitness and wellness – made this mission deeply important to me.
“If I can help even one person live a better, healthier, more enjoyable life through this facility, then I will have accomplished my goal.”
Snow, a 1992 graduate of Gladbrook-Reinbeck High School and a four-sport athlete throughout, credits the community for shaping her values and lifelong connection to health and fitness.

She also emphasized the role of the instructors and staff who continue to bring The Center to life each day. Their commitment to members, consistency in operations, and genuine care for the community have been instrumental in establishing the facility as a welcoming and impactful space – and will remain central to its continued success moving forward.
After successfully launching The Center, establishing operations, and building a strong membership base, Snow made the decision to transition ownership to Agape Therapy, a local group with extensive experience in fitness and wellness services and a shared commitment to community-centered care.
“I couldn’t be happier to have found a new owner who not only brings years of experience running successful fitness businesses, but who is truly passionate and deeply knowledgeable about health, fitness, and wellness,” Snow added. “I have absolutely no doubt that The Center will flourish and change lives for the better in the process. My family would be proud.”
Agape Therapy will officially assume operations May 1, 2026. The transition is designed to maintain continuity for current members, with familiar instructors, class offerings, pricing and overall programming expected to remain consistent. Members may also see additional staff presence, new faces, and the potential for expanded hours as the facility continues to grow and evolve.
As part of the transition, The Center will retain its name and continue to honor the Snow family through permanent legacy elements outlined in the ownership agreement.
Under new ownership, The Center is expected to expand programming, increase community engagement, and continue serving as a vital hub for health and wellness in Reinbeck and the surrounding area.
This transition represents not an ending, but an evolution–ensuring that the original mission lives on while creating new opportunities for connection, growth, and well-being for years to come.
