Catholics invited to attend Canon Law and Parish Rights
DUBUQUE — Catholics and members of the public are invited to attend an informative presentation on Canon Law by Philip Gray, president of the The Saint Joseph Foundation.
Gray will discuss Canon Law and explain the rights of parishes, parishioners and priests within the Catholic Church. The presentation comes at a time when many Catholics across the Archdiocese of Dubuque are seeking insights regarding the archdiocese’s pastoral planning initiative, Journey in Faith, which includes proposals to reduce the number of parishes and churches.
The event provides parishioners and community members with an opportunity to understand the rights and responsibilities of the faithful within the Church, and how these relate to its ultimate mission: the salvation of souls.
Gray, J.C.L., brings more than 30 years of experience in Canon Law. The Saint Joseph Foundation provides assistance and education regarding Canon Law and operates solely through donations from individuals seeking to defend Catholic teaching and uphold the rights of the faithful. The foundation provides its services free of charge.
The event is being hosted by Save Our Churches Save Our Communities at 6:30 p.m. on March 26 at Old 20 Auctions, 1949 210th St., Manchester. For more information visit: https://saveourchurchessaveourcommunities.com.
