GLADBROOK – The Gladbrook Women’s Club held its monthly membership meeting on Thursday, Jan. 8, 2026, at the Methodist Church.

Cheryl Bruene, ISU Extension, presented measurements in cooking and baking. She provided examples of both dry and liquid measures versus actual weight. Her demonstrations proved the weight is the most precise measurement.

Co-President Rhonda called the meeting to order. Roll call was answered by 16 members, and one guest by talking about New Year’s resolutions.

Minutes of the December meeting were read and approved.

The Treasurer’s report was read and approved.

Membership report: Reservations have been made for May meeting.

Old Business: Reviewed the Fundraiser Brunch.

New Business: Planning for Senior Lunch in April.

Meeting adjourned.
