Attention 2026 Seniors!

GRUNDY COUNTY – Are you a resident of Grundy County and a 2026 senior interested in an agriculture career! The Grundy Center Community School District Foundation is offering substantial scholarships to graduating seniors who reside in Grundy County and are seeking a degree or training in an agriculture field, i.e. animal husbandry, agricultural business, agronomy, agriculture education, agriculture engineering, veterinary science.

The W. Dwight & Lorraine A. Stone Estate Annual Scholarships were established in January 2014 because of a Trust awarded to the Foundation from the Estate of Mr. & Mrs. Stone, who owned farmland in Grundy County. A Trust was set up for the rent from their farm to go toward scholarships. It was their hope that the scholarships would provide an opportunity for students interested in an agriculture career to be able to pursue their dreams.

Up to four one-time individual scholarships are available up to $5,000 each. If you are a resident of Grundy County and will be a 2026 graduating senior pursuing post-secondary education in an agriculture field, you may obtain an application by contacting your high school principal, guidance counselor or agriculture teacher. The deadline for submitting your application is Friday, April 1, 2026. Qualifying applicants will be contacted for a short interview with Foundation members.
