Tama County Democratic Caucus locations

On the evening of Feb. 2, Democrats from all over Iowa will gather at 7 p.m. for the 2026 Iowa Democratic Party Caucuses. Democrats caucus every even-numbered year. By turning out you can play a role in deciding who will represent us in some very important 2026 races. In Iowa, Democrats have the opportunity to elect a Governor, U.S. Senator, and U.S. House Representative.

“You do not need to be a registered Democrat to attend. We can help you change your registration to Democrat. Iowa does require party identification to take part in caucuses and participate in the selection of party candidates during the primary elections. All you need to do is show up and we will help you understand the process and invite your input,” said Berleen Wobeter of the Tama County Democrats.

Tama County Democrats will meet at the following locations:

People who vote at these locations will gather at the North Tama High School lunchroom, 605 Walnut St. in Traer — Lincoln, Traer, Dysart, Gladbrook, Clutier

People who vote at this list of locations will gather at the South Tama County Elementary lunchroom — Garwin, Toledo, Montour, Tama, Elberon, Chelsea, Meskwaki Settlement

If your voting location changed in the last two years please remember to attend according to your new voting location.

These caucuses are a great way to get involved in grassroots activities with the Iowa Democratic Party. New voters may register on-site if you will be 18 on or by Nov. 3, 2026.

Please call County Party Vice Chair Glen Sailsbury at 319-640-1337 if you have a question.
