TOLEDO – The final Tama County Board of Supervisors meeting for 2025 was held on Monday, Dec. 29, and was over and done within a mere 15 minutes.

The rocket ship of a meeting started like always with Tama County Engineer Ben Daleske giving his weekly report. He stated they hauled sand to the mix sheds the week prior, and also moved some rock on 150th Street. They will be undertaking some brush cutting and tree trimming soon.

The supervisors talked about the two new hires for Secondary Roads. After seven interviews, Taylor House and Terry Purvis were hired as road foremen as the county is moving back to a two-foreman system. The county will be split into two sections, east and west, and the new hires will start on Jan. 5, 2026.

Claims totaling $89,121.44 were approved.
