The Northwest Tama County Ministerial Association hosted the annual CROP Hunger Walk on Sunday, Oct. 5. There were 19 participants and church members donated over $735. The funds that are collected go to Church World Service (CWS) with 25% donated to the local food pantry. CWS helps people in developing countries get water to their villages, provides seeds, and helps plant gardens and fields. Local churches represented on Sunday included Chapel Church, Methodist Church, and Peace Church, the host church served treats.
