Bru selected for 2025-26 Iowa Corn Collegiate Advisory Team program

IOWA – GMG Class of 2024 alumna Lillian Bru of rural Gladbrook has been selected to participate in the 2025-2026 school year’s Iowa Corn Collegiate Advisory Team (CAT) program.

The one-year program focuses on increasing college students’ understanding of the corn industry. Students will visit the Capitol, tour industry leaders’ operations, and expand their network and knowledge outside of the classroom.

“Iowa Corn is dedicated to developing the current and future farmers to best serve the industry,” Iowa Corn Promotion Board President and Wright County farmer Joe Roberts said. “I gained my first experience with Iowa Corn when I had the privilege of serving on CAT while I was in college. Getting engaged in your industry and networking with fellow farmers is something that is valuable and important. The skills gained in CAT provide an outside of the classroom experience, benefiting the next generation.”

Bru is one of 26 students selected for the program.
