FIB employees spend Volunteer Day at Northwest Tama County Food Pantry

GLADBROOK – On the afternoon of Sept. 10, employees at First Interstate Bank (FIB) engaged in a companywide Volunteer Day. The event is simply a way for FIB to concentrate and magnify the effort of its employees who give to the places where they live and work. The staff at the Gladbrook branch selected the Northwest Tama County Food Pantry in Gladbrook to help support and cater to some of the specific needs of the local community. Pictured are FIB employees (l-r) Carly Heindselman, Denae Haack, and Tayler Bovenmyer, who helped clean, organize, and replenish the food pantry. The patrons will be very happy to see the food and paper products all neatly organized and easy to view as if they were walking into a grocery store. Food Pantry Chair Jeanne Paustian stated it was wonderful to have volunteers come in and help at the food pantry. “Their enthusiasm was heartwarming. I can’t thank the First Interstate Bank and their employees enough for selecting the food pantry and for the wonderful work they did improving the facility.”
