GLADBROOK – Members of the Gladbrook Junior American Legion Auxiliary are seeking the community’s help in collecting pull (pop) tabs from cans such as soup and pop as part of an ongoing project benefiting the Ronald McDonald House Charities of Eastern Iowa & Western Illinois. The pull tabs are collected and recycled at Marion Iron Company; in turn, Ronald McDonald House receives market value for recycling the aluminum. Donated tabs may be dropped off at the Gladbrook Memorial Building or Peace Church. Pictured is Nicole Clapp, past national president of the American Legion Auxiliary, delivering 36 lb. of pop tabs to the Ronald McDonald House of Iowa City.
