Learn to make, preserve your own salsa with Totally Tomatoes

TOLEDO – Are you ready to embark on a tasty gardening journey? Join Iowa State University Extension and Outreach Tama County for the Totally Tomatoes program, featuring two engaging sessions designed to teach you what you need to know to grow and prepare fresh ingredients for delicious homemade salsa. The first session ‘Gardening for Salsa’ took place on May 7. Session 2 is set for next month.
Session 2: Salsa Making & Safe Canning

In this practical workshop, you’ll make your own salsa under the guidance of a food and health specialist while learning safe home canning methods.
Costs:
FREE for participants who attend both sessions. (thanks to grant funding!).
$50 for those wishing to attend the salsa-making class only.
Combined, both classes and the starter plants have a value of $100; don’t miss out on this incredible opportunity to gain knowledge, skills, and confidence in growing and preserving your own food.
