GARWIN – The GMG FFA Chapter provided a noon meal for patrons of the Mid-Iowa Coop east of Garwin on a recent Saturday. Under the direction of FFA instructor Mrs. Erin Murty, the students grilled beef burgers and packed lunch sacks for those hauling in grain to the Coop.

Iowa Premium Beef provided beef for 125 burgers. A bag of chips, homemade bar or cookie and a candy bar rounded out the lunch.

When asked why they provided the free meal, Mrs. Murty said, “It is a way for us to say thank you for their support of our FFA Chapter. We hope to fill them up on a busy day and keep them safe.”
