GLADBROOK – On the afternoon of Sept. 11, 2024, the employees at First Interstate Bank (FIB) engaged in a company wide Volunteer Day. Volunteer Day is simply a way for FIB to concentrate and magnify the effort of the First Interstate employees, who give to the places where they live and work. The staff at the Gladbrook branch selected the Northwest Tama County Food Pantry in Gladbrook to help support and cater to some of the specific needs of the local community. Pictured are FIB employees (l-r) Carly Heidselman, Denae Haack, and Katie Airey, who helped clean, organize, and replenish the food pantry. The patrons will be very happy to see the food and paper products all neatly organized and easy to view as if they were walking into a grocery store. Jeanne Paustian, Food Pantry Chairman, stated it was wonderful to have volunteers come in and help at the food pantry. “Their enthusiasm was heartwarming. I can’t thank the First Interstate Bank and their employees enough for selecting the food pantry and for the wonderful work they did improving the facility.”
