GLADBROOK – Gladbrook City Park received a little facelift earlier this month.
On July 11, Remington Seeds of Marshalltown brought in a small crew to spruce up the park as their community service project this summer. The company funded the park project and some of their employees volunteered to do the work.
The group replaced the large timbers around the swings and play equipment on the west side of the park. They prepared the site and installed the timbers finishing up before noon to avoid the heat of the day.
New swings had been installed the week before and more pea gravel will be brought in to finish up the project.
The Gladbrook community greatly appreciates and thanks Remington Seeds for their donation, time, and hard work.
