Collectors Fair showcases variety of items at 102nd Corn Carnival

GLADBROOK – On June 13. 2024, the annual Gladbrook Corn Carnival Collectors Fair was held from 10 a.m. to 8 p.m. in the Gladbrook Memorial Building. Nineteen exhibitors had their unique collections on display for the public to view.

In addition to many local exhibitors, the fair also drew exhibitors from Clemons, Marshalltown, and Des Moines.

Ten dollars in Gladbrook Trade dollars were drawn; the adult winner was Betty Schmitz and the youth winner was Stetson Weuve.

-Dana Brown: tatting, glass baskets, and tumblers

-Betty Schmitz: Rath Packing memorabilia

-Michael McHenry, age 8: LEGOs

The 2024 Collectors Fair Committee included Karen Handorf, Pauline Flamme, and Dana Brown. We thank everyone who came to enjoy the collections as well as the contributors themselves.
