2024 Habitat Workshop to focus on chronic wasting disease and wetlands

MORRISON — Landowners and interested members of the public are invited for a one-day workshop on Wednesday, February 21, at the Grundy County Museum, 204 Fourth Street, Morrison. From 11 a.m. to noon, Justin Clark from the Iowa Department of Natural Resources will present on Chronic Wasting Disease in Iowa. Lunch will be provided from noon to 12:30 p.m. After lunch, from 12:30 to 2 p.m., there will be two wetland presentations. Justin Clark will cover wetland types and habitat functions. Shane Wulf, from the Iowa Department of Agriculture and Land Stewardship, Faith Luce from Black Hawk Creek Watershed Project, and Matt Wang from the Natural Resources Conservation Service will talk about funding programs for new wetlands and floodplain wetland restoration projects.
