GLADBROOK – The Gladbrook Junior Auxiliary performed a Candlelight Christmas Program for the Post & Unit on Dec. 13. After the dinner, the girls acted out the play, “The Good News Flash.” The Chief of the “Bethlehem Times” had a hunch that something big was happening in Bethlehem. He sent his reporters out to talk to the shepherds and innkeepers. All in all he was right, the big front page story was the “Birth of the Christ Child.” The play combined the past and the present. Although the times have changed, Jesus Christ is present and is the same “yesterday, today, and forever.” The Juniors presented the Legionnaires with a Christmas ball. Everyone enjoyed singing Christmas carols by candlelight. The next Post & Unit meeting will be Jan. 15, including a soup supper hosted by the Legion. Our guests will be the fire department and ambulance squad.
